CONSTITUENT CONGRESS OF “ISRAEL-AZERBAIJAN” INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION ADOPTS APPEAL TO AZERBAIJANI PRESIDENT AND ISRAELI PREMIER
On April 12, a constituent congress of the “Israel-Azerbaijan” International Association took place in Tel Aviv.
Participants of the congress adopted an appeal to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
The appeal says that the Association’s purpose is to unite Azerbaijani communities of Israel, and boost cultural and business cooperation between the two countries.
“We know that high ethnic tolerance of Azerbaijani people promoted their successful integration and adaptation. We are sure that Azerbaijan has been and remains the country, where there is no place to anti-Semitism and a racial discrimination. Not only old and friendly attitudes, but also, ties of brotherhood and relationship unite our countries and peoples. We also have mutual economic and political interests,” the document underlines.
Delegates of the congress called on the governments of Azerbaijan and Israel to do everything possible for strengthening and expansion of their political, economic and cultural relations.
