“I am very pleased to visit such a beautiful country. I think COP29 has been excellently organized. I have also been involved in a panel discussion on combating climate change. COP29 is a key platform for addressing the issue of financial allocation to mitigate the impacts of climate change,” Christopher Kalila Zambian MP, Chairperson for Committee on Health, Community Development and Social Services, told AZERTAC.
“Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today. We have witnessed its destructive impacts through floods, droughts, and wildfires. My country has experienced one of the most intense droughts so far, resulting in the drying up of several rivers, including the globally renowned Victoria Falls. We have witnessed the real impacts of climate change firsthand,” he added.
