COP29 is an ambitious conference and I look forward to its outcomes, says representative of UK-based Plan International
Baku, November 11, AZERTAC
“I work with the Plan International, which is a UK based international organization supporting children’s rights. We have a big delegation coming to participate in the COP29,” Farahshukri Ahmed Osman, the representative of the Plan International organization, told AZERTAC.
“This is a conference that is bringing together different international organizations, different governments and private public institutions. And the opportunity is that there's a call for commitment, there's a call for action, and Azerbaijan now is taking over the COP29 Presidency. And I think this is an opportunity where a lot of call to action is going to be done, and then it will also call for a commitment of the government to take action, to not a paperwork, not pledge. So this is an ambitious conference, and I look forward to the outcomes of it and the implementations of the agreement,” he mentioned.
