COP29 Lead Negotiator: Baku Global Climate Transparency Platform to foster stakeholder cooperation

“Transparency is a key factor to tackling climate change,” said Yalchin Rafiyev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and COP29 Lead Negotiator, during the “High-Level Dialogue: Advancing Climate Transparency through Universal Participation in the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF)” event. He announced that the launch of the Baku Global Climate Transparency Platform (BTP) would serve as a crucial hub for stakeholder and NGO cooperation in the climate process.
Rafiyev emphasized that the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) places great importance on transparency, highlighting the platform’s role in building trust and confidence among participants.
