DESPITE DECREASE OF DIRECT FOREIGN INVESTMENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD IN AZERBAIJAN IT INCREASES
A United Nations Conference on Trade and Development Conference /UNCTAD/ has issued a report on direct foreign investments inflow in the world, UN Baku office reports. According to UNCTAD Secretary-General Rubens Ricupero, following the regress of 2002, inflow of direct foreign investments stabilizing. However, a decreasing volume of investments is expected to rise only in 2004. In comparison with the last year, these showings decreased in 108 countries out of 195.
In some countries, investment inflow rose drastically in comparison with 2001. Thus, the volume of direct foreign investments to Azerbaijan totaled at USD 943 million as compared to 2001.
