Event on “Advancing the Energy Transition Towards 2030: Financing, Technology and People” in focus at COP29

Organized by the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, an event discussing the topic “Advancing the Energy Transition Towards 2030: Financing, Technology, and People” was held as part of COP29.
Addressing the event, Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, emphasized the importance of leveraging existing portfolios of clean energy and energy efficiency solutions for climate investments to achieve the 1.5°C target.
The speakers also included industry leaders and representatives from the public sector, who explored nationally determined contributions and financial models. They stressed the imperative to agree on a crucial climate finance package as a result of COP29.
