Former Executive Director of UN-Habitat: Twelfth Malaysia Plan covers all major topics

“We are bringing together the plans of all ministries and turning them into a single document. We call it the 'Twelfth Malaysia Plan,' and we are currently working on it. It covers all the major topics,” said Maimunah Mohd Sharif, former Executive Director of UN-Habitat, during her speech at the event titled “Strategic Environmental Assessment as a Tool for Achieving Climate Targets in Urban Planning,” held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
“This plan is excellently developed at the national level. Then it is adapted to the 13 states that exist in Malaysia. We have 13 states. The policies, targets and strategies developed under the national physical plan are then brought down to the state level. All of these are fully coordinated with each other,” the former Executive Director of UN-Habitat underscored.
