French Senator Nathalie Goulet: OSCE Minsk Group has frozen the Karabakh conflict rather than find a solution to it
Baku, May 10 (AZERTAC). French Senator Nathalie Goulet has expressed regret over the fact that the OSCE Minsk Group has made no progress in settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict for “many long years”.
“The OSCE Minsk Group has frozen the Karabakh conflict rather than find a solution to it,” she told AZERTAC`s correspondent in Baku.
“This means that the conflict is frozen. We should support the country whose lands are under occupation, which has an enormous number of refugees and IDPs. Due attention must be paid to this part of the Caucasus. It is high time we helped Azerbaijan, a reliable partner, to solve the problem,” the French Senator noted.
Goulet also hailed the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, saying “it has been pursuing a real cultural strategy for 10 years”.
“Azerbaijan is successfully promoting its culture, history. In my department in France, I have conducted a lot of events.”
“The first French city to become sisters with an Azerbaijani city is located in the department that I represent in the French Senate,” said Goulet.
“The Heydar Aliyev Foundation is assisting the restoration of monuments, mosques in France,” the French Senator added.
