Georgian Minister: COP29 decisions create conditions for new investment opportunities

“Mobilizing financial resources to combat climate change during COP29 and enhancing access to these funds are of great importance,” said Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, during the conference titled "Agriculture Mobilizing Countries for Nature" held as part of the "Caspian Agro" and "InterFood Azerbaijan" exhibitions in Baku.
“The decisions adopted at COP29 have laid the groundwork for the emergence of new investment opportunities and trade relations, opening up additional prospects for countries,” the minister stated. “These two key areas — the mobilization of financial resources and the creation of new investment opportunities — were among the major achievements of COP29. Azerbaijan’s initiative has led to meaningful outcomes on a global scale.”
Speaking about the International Agricultural Exhibition in Baku, Minister Songulashvili noted that such events provide the private sector with an opportunity to present their products, sign new contracts, and contribute to the growth of bilateral trade. As a result, this creates a solid foundation for further strengthening cooperation between countries.
