High results in Baku Engineering University's admission to international dual-degree programs

The high interest among students in the dual-degree programs carried out within the framework of Baku Engineering University's (BEU) international partnerships is reflected in the admission results for the 2026/2027 academic year.
According to the University, the admission plan established for each of the three bachelor's-level dual-degree programs carried out by the university has been fully fulfilled.
Currently, the dual-degree programs carried out on the basis of various models within the framework of BEU's cooperation with INHA University of South Korea and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) of China give students the opportunity to study in an international educational environment, benefit from the academic capabilities of foreign partner universities, and complete their studies with diplomas from two higher education institutions.
This year, 104 students were admitted to the dual-degree program carried out between BEU and INHA University of South Korea since the 2020/2021 academic year within the framework of the State Program for Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System. Admission was carried out with 26 students each in the specialties of "Information Technologies," "Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence Engineering)," "Data Analytics," and "Electrical and Electronics Engineering." As a result, the established admission plan was fulfilled 100 percent. The high academic performance of the admitted students demonstrated the high level of interest in and competition for the program. Among the 363 candidates who took part in the internal examination, 28.8 percent of the 104 admitted students scored above 600 points, and 57.7 percent scored above 500 points.
The results of the first year of admission at the BUCT-BEU Faculty of Engineering, which began operating this year within the framework of BEU's cooperation with Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), were also marked by high indicators. The admission plan established for the faculty, which operates on the basis of a 3+1 model, was fulfilled 100 percent. A total of 100 students were admitted, with 25 students each in the specialties of "Computer Science," "Chemistry," "Biotechnology," and "Mechanical Engineering." Of the 100 admitted students, 57 percent scored above 500 points. Of these, 51 percent scored between 500-600 points, and 6 percent scored above 600 points.
High indicators were also recorded in admission to the other dual-degree program carried out on the basis of a 2+2 model, under the bilateral agreement signed between BEU and Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Nearly 31 percent of the students admitted to the program in the specialties of "Chemical Engineering," "Computer Engineering," "Mechanical Engineering," "Chemistry," "Biotechnology," and "Business Administration" scored above 500 points. Among them, 11 students scored between 600 and 700 points, while 142 students achieved scores ranging from 500 to 600 points.
It should be noted that the program carried out between BEU and BUCT holds special significance as the first bachelor's-level dual-degree program carried out between universities of Azerbaijan and China. The high academic results students achieve at BEU during the academic year play an important role in their continuing their studies at BUCT.
Overall, the full implementation of the admission plan across the three dual-degree programs for the 2026/2027 academic year once again demonstrates the high level of student interest in BEU's international partnership opportunities, the educational programs carried out jointly with foreign universities, and the prospects of studying in the global academic environment.
