Hikmat Hajiyev: We have a political vision for making progress towards reintegration
Baku, September 22, AZERTAC
“There will be difficulties, there may be certain challenges, no one denies that. What is important is that we have a political vision for making progress towards reintegration. When we talk about reintegration, we mean a model of peaceful reintegration of Armenians in Karabakh into the economic, political and social life of Azerbaijan. At the same time, we must be realistic that there will be people who don't like it and don't accept it,” said Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev in his interview with “Reuters.”
“Armenians may decide not to stay in Karabakh. In that case, Azerbaijan must not be responsible. Every country has national minorities, with certain rules and systems. People must also accept and respect this. In ensuring rights, certain obligations and responsibilities must be taken into account. There may be some people, who do not accept this and choose to live in another country. It's their decision and we respect their decisions," he emphasized.
