Hosting session of CICA in Baku offers new regional perspectives, says Secretary General

Hosting session of CICA in ancient Baku, particularly on the eve of Formula 1, contributed to new regional perspectives, said Kairat Sarbay, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), at the closing ceremony of the session on the theme “CICA as an International Organization—Transformation and Capacity Building” held as part of the 13th meeting of CICA Think Tank Forum.

Emphasizing the importance of fundamental security, the Secretary General highlighted the great prospects of CICA. He said that the organization consistently keeps regional issues, sustainable development, and economic matters in the spotlight.

He also stressed the importance of a joint agenda and a forward-looking action plan, emphasizing that future cooperation must be based on mutual respect.
