If I were a tourist – A short journey to “Duzdag” Physiotherapy Center VIDEO

Nakhchivan, May 15, AZERTAC
Since 1979, and located at an altitude of 1173 meters above sea level, the “Duzdag” (Salt Mountain) Physiotherapy Center has made an invaluable contribution to the development of medical tourism in Nakhchivan with its state-of-the-art facilities.
The labyrinth-shaped underground part of Duzdag, which stretches 46 kilometers in total, is located 360 meters from the entrance and 110 meters deep. Here, the air temperature fluctuates between 18–20 degrees Celsius throughout the year, while the relative humidity varies between 25-30 percent, and the prevailing atmospheric pressure constitutes 678 mm Hg.
Being one of the symbols of Nakhchivan and known for its natural salt reserves, Duzdag is unique in the world, offering treatment for many illnesses, including bronchial asthma (infectious-allergic and atopic forms), chronic bronchitis with asthmatic components (in remission), acute and chronic bronchitis, pre-asthmatic conditions, and allergic rhinosinusopathies, through salt-based therapy.
The “Duzdag” Physiotherapy Center, located 13 kilometers from Nakhchivan city and 1 kilometer from the 5-star Duzdag Hotel, is a medical facility with 474 beds. The duration of stay for patients at the center varies. Children under 10 stay in the afternoon for 4–5 hours over a period of 7–14 days, while those aged 12 and above spend the night at the center. As foreign guests describe it, this “underground kingdom” is visited by at least 4–5 thousand people every year, many of whom also find healing through its treatments.
