A field of vibrant red poppies blooming amidst vast grain fields near the village of Kalakhana in Shamakhi attract luring thousands of tourists. The breathtaking scenery resembles a brush painting of Mother Nature.
Nestled just a few kilometers from the Shamakhi city, the village can be reached through the highway.
The route leads you from Baku to Shamakhi for at least one-half an hour. While in Shamakhi, it will take you up to 10-15 minutes to arrive in the village.
Lately, tourists have been flocking to the district to admire this fascinating natural landscape. Photos taken here go viral on social media, highlighting Shamakhi's natural tourism potential.
