International forum highlights Azerbaijan’s efforts in addressing international and regional issues

Fariz Rzayev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, participated in the panel session on “Global Governance in Crisis - Reinventing Multilateralism for a Multipolar Era” within the MEDays Forum held in Tangier, Morocco.
Addressing the event, the Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted Azerbaijan’s activities as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and its efforts in ensuring and fostering peace and cooperation among states at both regional and international levels.
Fariz Rzayev noted that Azerbaijan chaired the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), one of the world’s largest organizations, for four years. During this period, Azerbaijan contributed to transforming the NAM into a powerful international organization.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of the outcomes of the COP29 conference held in Baku, its contributions to addressing the climate crisis, and the agreements reached on climate finance.
The event brought together over 6,000 representatives from more than 100 countries. Over 250 top-ranking participants, including heads of state and government, prominent political figures, and Nobel Prize laureates, delivered speeches at the forum.
