‘It is very important that Azerbaijan, Brazil and all other similar countries have funding support’

"I came to Azerbaijan in July only to take advantage of certain opportunities and establish relations. However, my current visit completely is different. Because COP29 is taking place right now. We are also here to capitalize on Brazilian industry opportunities to create new relations and show how our industry benefits from the carbon economy. The issues raised at COP28 and COP29 are the same, but at different levels. We are fully engaged in these issues," Davi Bomtempo, Environment and Sustainability Superintendent, told AZERTAC.
Emphasizing that finance is the main topic of discussions at the COP29, he noted that finance creates a basis for establishing and transitioning to a low-carbon economy and we need a lot of financial resources.
“We are currently discussing how developed countries will finance developing countries. It is very important that Azerbaijan, Brazil and all other similar countries have funding support,” Davi Bomtempo added.
