Jeyhun Bayramov briefs Greek counterpart about current situation in region in post-conflict period

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Greek Foreign Minister Georgios Gerapetritis on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The discussions during the meeting centered around various aspects of the bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Greece, spanning political, economic, humanitarian, energy and renewable energy areas. The FMs underscored the importance of political consultations in developing relations.
Emphasizing that Azerbaijan, as a reliable strategic partner in the energy sector, plays a pivotal role in Europe's energy security, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted a number of fruitful projects in this sector, including the Southern Gas Corridor and the Trans Adriatic Gas Pipeline.
Touching on the prospects for developing cooperation within international organizations, Jeyhun Bayramov underscored that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), to be hosted by Azerbaijan this year, created favorable opportunities for new areas of partnership.
Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his Greek counterpart on the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, including the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.
The meeting also saw discussions on new areas of cooperation and other topics of mutual interest.
