Jeyhun Bayramov: It is important to unite to combat threats targeting the Turkish unity

As part of his participation in the high-level week of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has delivered a speech at an informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
The Azerbaijani minister highlighted the role of heads of states in creating mutual trust between the OTS member states, in particular, in contributing to the development of ties and successful joint activities in the international arena.
Jeyhun Bayramov noted the importance of taking joint measures to unleash the transport-transit potential of the region, increase and diversify trade turnover, simplify and improve transit procedures of transport-communication corridors. He emphasized that the creation of a new transport infrastructure in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, including the functioning of the Zangezur corridor, would play a decisive role in creation of a new transport hub along the Middle Corridor.
Touching upon the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace agenda, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided an insight into Armenia`s destructive approach, which seeks to mislead the international public, prevent the achievement of peace and security in the South Caucasus.
Bayramov also spoke of the local anti-terrorism measures against the illegal Armenian armed forces in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. The minister expressed gratitude to the Turkic states for their support in connection with the conduct of local anti-terrorist measures in the sovereign lands of Azerbaijan.
“It is important to unite to combat all threats targeting the Turkish unity,” the Azerbaijani FM underlined.
