Life revives in liberated territories: Karabakh and East Zangezur welcome over 500,000 visitors in the past month

In July alone, over 500,000 people visited the liberated territories - a significant indicator of the region’s transformation. The hosting of the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Khankendi this July exemplifies the tangible progress in the liberated territories. President Ilham Aliyev highlighted Azerbaijan’s large-scale infrastructure projects, the “Great Return” Program facilitating the return of former IDPs, and the country’s political resolve in the post-conflict period. He emphasized Azerbaijan’s contributions to environmental initiatives, investment attractiveness, energy security, and transport corridors - reinforcing the country’s role as a guarantor of regional stability and sustainable development.
The 3rd Global Media Forum in Shusha further affirmed the city’s rising international prominence as Azerbaijan’s cultural capital.
