Liverpool win at Southampton 3-2, move 8 points clear at top of English Premier League

Mohamed Salah-led Liverpool won at Southampton 3-2 to go eight points clear at the top of English Premier League on Sunday, according to Anadolu Agency.
Liverpool's Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai scored the opening goal in the 30th minute at the St. Mary's Stadium after hosts Southampton made careless passing in their own penalty area. Szoboszlai had the ball to score.
Before the break Southampton were awarded a penalty. Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher saved Adam Armstrong's penalty but the Southampton forward scored after the rebound by Kelleher.
Mateus Fernandes scored on a counter attack to give a 2-1 lead to Southampton in the 56th minute.
After 65 minutes, Reds scored the equalizer as Salah put the ball into the Southampton net convincingly after goalkeeper Alex McCarthy's big mistake.
Following a handball from Yukinari Sugawara, Liverpool were awarded a penalty. Salah scored from the white spot in the 83rd minute to name a 3-2 win for the Premier League leaders.
This season Southampton were handed their 10th loss to be in the last spot with four points.
Liverpool have 31 points in 12 matches as the Reds bagged an important win before Sunday's Man City showdown.
Their nearest opponents, second-place Manchester City have 23 points after a shocking home loss to Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 on Saturday.
