Massive bus crash leaves at least 34 dead and 12 injured as wreck catches fire

Baku, July 19, AZERTAC
Thirty-four people are dead following a devastating road accident in Algeria, according to The Mirror.
Algeria's Civil Protection unit confirmed that the death toll from the bus crash had left 34 dead with another 12 injured.
A statement from the police said it happened in the village of Atoll in Tamanrasset state.
They added that the crash lead to another bus and a car catching alight and going up in flames, without providing further details.
Incredible images from the scene show a bus completely gutted by flames, lying on the roadside as a twisted, mangled wreck.
The condition of the wounded is currently unknown.
According to the Arabic Post, road accidents claim dozens of lives every week.
For example, in the six days between July 9 and 15, there were 1,359 traffic accidents in the whole of Algeria. Forty-two people were killed and another 1,697 were left injured with varying levels of severity.
