“A total of 228 observers from 24 international organizations and 43 countries have been accredited to monitor the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan,” Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) reported in a meeting on Thursday.

The CEC Chairman noted that to date, 38,744 local observes had been accredited to participate in the upcoming elections.

“Of the local observers, 5,621 were registered by CEC and another 33,123 by the constituency election commissions,” Mazahir Panahov added.
