Member of Guadeloupe Communist Party: We must distance ourselves from France and rebuild all our sectors

“The political sovereignty of the Guadeloupean people has never been secured. Our agriculture, trade relations, and overall economy are being systematically weakened, making us increasingly dependent on imports,” said Victor Arthein, a member of the Board of the Guadeloupe Communist Party and the Municipal Council of Port Louis, at the conference dedicated to Guadeloupe.
“We must distance ourselves from France and rebuild all our sectors. Existing agreements must be seriously renegotiated. By striving for independence in every sector, we must take action on the global stage. If we wish to break free from dependence and poverty, we must firmly pursue our fundamental right to self-determination,” Victor Arthein added.
