“My Voice” Election Observation Coalition releases interim report on Azerbaijani snap parliamentary elections

The “My Voice” Election Observation Coalition presented an interim report Wednesday regarding Azerbaijan’s snap parliamentary election scheduled to take place on September 1.
The report was presented by Saadat Bananyarli, co-founder of the coalition, Novella Jafaroglu, Chairwoman of the Association for the Protection of Women's Rights named after Dilara Aliyeva, and Saida Gojamanli, Chairwoman of the Protection of Human Rights and Rule of Law Public Union.
According to the report, 533 observers of the coalition will monitor the election in 65 election constituencies nationwide. The observers include a diverse group of women, young people and intellectuals.
The report said that no instances of interference in the signature collection process conducted by the candidates had been reported across the country.
Out of 459 candidates from 25 political parties, 305 have been accredited for the parliamentary race.
