Baku, July 5 (AZERTAC). Representative of the Azerbaijan`s Ombudsman office Zaur Aliyev has attended an annual International Conference of the Russian Association of International Law in Moscow.

The conference has been dedicated to the application of international law.

According to the Ombudsman Office, the event brought together lawyers from various countries, professors of Russian universities, representatives of international organizations, Russian MPs and judges.

During the conference, Aliyev has made a speech on defense mechanisms of universal and regional international law.

He also touched upon the defense mechanism the UN law and Azeri Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova`s activity over the Universal periodic review.
