Over 16,000 homes provided to martyr families and war-disabled veterans so far – Deputy Minister

“Under the leadership of President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, extensive measures are being taken to strengthen the social protection of martyr families, war participants, and persons with war-related disabilities. One of the major initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population is a housing program aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens in these categories. So far, the program has provided more than 16,000 homes to eligible citizens,” Hidayat Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said in an interview with AZERTAC’s regional correspondent.
He noted that, as part of the ongoing program, another 68 homes were handed over to their owners at an event held in Nakhchivan. Meanwhile, various social support measures for families of martyrs and war participants continue to be implemented. These include providing them with high-tech prostheses and vehicles, as well as facilitating their access to rehabilitation services.
“Under the program, more than 7,300 citizens have already been provided with vehicles. I would like to reiterate that these programs will continue to be implemented in full and on a broad scale,” the Deputy Minister added.
