Pakistan's first humanitarian aid consignment for earthquake victims handed over to Myanmar

Pakistan's first consignment of 35 tons for earthquake affectees was handed over to Myanmar Authorities in Yangon where the death toll from the earthquake had surpassed 3,000.
Ambassador of Pakistan in Myanmar Imran Haider along with other Pakistani officials officially handed over the relief to the Chief Minister of Yangon Region. According to the Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Pakistan is committed to providing support to Myanmar in the wake of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck on March 28, 2025.
As per the official statement, the Government of Pakistan and Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority remains steadfast in its commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to earthquake affected people of Myanmar.
Under the direction of Prime Minister Muhamamd Shehbaz Sharif, the Government of Pakistan dispatched relief goods for the earthquake victims in Myanmar. First flight departed from Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday, carrying 35 tons of essential supplies. Its cargo includes 565 Tents, 210 Tarpaulins, 2000 Blankets, 1 Ton of Readymade Food, 0.5 Tons of Medicines, and 10 Water Modules.
Another flight of 35 tons of relief supplies will be sent soon. Earlier, the Pakistani Prime Minister spoke with Chairman of Myanmar's State Administration Council and Prime Minister of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing and conveyed his condolences while reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity and support in the wake of the devastating earthquake.
