Parliamentary Group for Territorial Integrity of GUAM Countries established at Lithuanian Seimas
Vilnius, March 17 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Embassy in Lithuania has ensured the establishment of Parliamentary Group for the Territorial Integrity of the GUAM (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova) Countries in the Seimas as a result of the activities in informing the Lithuanian people about the truth of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenia's aggressive policy, and supporting the right cause of Azerbaijan at the Lithuanian Seimas.
The Group comprises 21 parliamentarians.
Mantas Adomėnas was elected as the chairman of the Parliamentary Group for the Territorial Integrity of the GUAM Countries. Adomėnas is a member of Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrat Political Group and deputy chair of the Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan. Three persons were elected as deputy chairs of the Group. Juras Požela is a member of Lithuanian Social Democratic Party Political Group, chair of Commission for Youth and Sport Affairs and Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan. Gintaras Steponavičius is a member of Liberals Movement Political Group and former Minister of Education and Science. Emanuelis Zingeris is a member of Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrat Political Group, deputy chair of Committee on European Affairs and Seimas Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Chair of Committee on Foreign Affairs Benediktas Juodka and Chair of Liberals Movement Political Group, former Minister of Transport and Communications Eligijus Masiulis are also among the members of the group.
