Permanent Secretary in the Vice President's Office of Tanzania: Climate change directly affect coastal areas

“COP29 facilitates high-level discussions on the impacts of climate change that are both vital and highly effective. We are also contributing to these discussions by presenting our initiatives to fight climate change,” Permanent Secretary in the Vice President's Office of Tanzania Cyprian John Luhemeja told AZERTAC.
He highlighted that the Vice President of Tanzania attended two events at COP29. “Climate change affects everyone, including the people of Tanzania. We are facing numerous environmental challenge. These issues directly affect coastal areas and lakes. Tanzania is suffering from drought, which is of great concern to our people.
