President Ilham Aliyev lays foundation stone for Jeyranbatan ultrafiltration water purification unit
Baku, September 8 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the Jeyranbatan water purification ultrafiltration facility of the OJSC “Azersu” in the Absheron district.
The Head of State toured the construction site.
The Head of State was informed about specifications of the new unit. The facility with the capacity of 6 cubic meters per second will improve quality of water supplied for population in Baku and Sumgait. The Dutch-made state-of-the-art equipment will be used in the new system.
The new facility to be built during 12-15 months will allow saving electricity.
The President got familiar with the water supply plan for Baku and suburban districts.
The President placed a symbolic metal capsule into the foundation and covered it with liquid concrete.
The Head of State met with staff of “Azersu” and builders.
