President Ilham Aliyev receives Chairman of British Olympic Association, executive director of London Olympic Games
Baku, January 21 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Chairman of British Olympic Association, executive director of London Olympic Games Lord Sebastian Coe.
The Head of State congratulated Lord Sebastian Coe on the excellent organization of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. President Ilham Aliyev said Lord Coe`s visit to Azerbaijan would be a good opportunity for him to become familiar with the country.
Chairman of British Olympic Association, executive director of London Olympic Games Lord Sebastian Coe congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on achievements of Azerbaijani sportsmen in London Olympic Games.
Lord Coe said he would become closely acquainted with the capital Baku and sports venues, where the First European Olympic Games will be held.
They also praised what had been done to develop sports in Azerbaijan, and noted the country`s role in international Olympic movement.
They also expressed confidence that Azerbaijan`s cooperation with international sport organizations would further be boosted.
