President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on 21 June met the heads of Wrestling and Judo Federations, the medal winners in the European Championships and their coaches.

The President congratulated sportsmen, wished them new successes, highly appreciating useful activity of both Federations.

Then, speaking was the president of the Wrestling Federation Abbas Abbasov and president of Judo Federation Fizuli Alakbarov who said Azerbaijan has become one of the sports centers of world.

They expressed gratitude to the head of state for nice conditions created in the Republic. ‘The ground for this is the care and attention of the Azerbaijani state and government’, they stressed. ‘Due to this, sports in Azerbaijan has become massive’, the presidents underlined and once again expressed gratitude to the state of Azerbaijan for care and attention shown to sports in the Republic.
