President of Congo: Hosting large-scale event like COP29 is a great accomplishment

“I would like to congratulate my friend and brother President Aliyev and the government of Azerbaijan on the excellent organization of the COP29,” Denis Sassou-Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo, told journalists.
Commending the conditions and high-level hospitality, the Congolese President described the organization of such an event as a great accomplishment for Azerbaijan.
"All the countries are represented at this event. It is a great success to be able to hold such a large-scale event. Yesterday we welcomed the adoption of the mechanisms of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement on carbon issues. This is the success of COP29," the President of Congo added.
