President of World Water Council: Azerbaijan has sufficient experience in water scarcity alleviation

‘Azerbaijan has sufficient experience in water scarcity alleviation’, said Benedito Braga, President of the World Water Council.

He said that continuous work is being done to overcome the problem of water scarcity in the world. Here's another important aspect that supply and demand matching. The main issue is to build appropriate infrastructure. Currently, the main water demand is used in accordance with the requirements of industry, agriculture and people's personal needs, Benedito Braga said.

According to him, the second point is to create the right balance between supply and demand, to enlighten people in efficient use of water.

“Azerbaijan has sufficient experience in this field. If necessary we are ready to support.”
