President Sergio Mattarella: Italy attaches importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan on a global scale

“Our relations are the result of our perfect bilateral cooperation. The issues on our agenda today focus on all areas covering our bilateral relations because Italy also considers Azerbaijan as a reliable partner and particularly a key partner in the region,” said Italian President Sergio Mattarella at a joint press conference with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
President Sergio Mattarella emphasized that Italy attaches importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan on a global scale too. “Italy hails Azerbaijan's secularism and its respect for religious tolerance. Italy supports Azerbaijan`s efforts against the threats emerging from radicalism,” the Italian President said.
