Press release on the outcomes of the tenth meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, and the Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security Issues between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan

On November 1, 2024, the tenth meeting of the State Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia, along with the Commission on the Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security Issues between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, took place on the border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia under the chairmanship of Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
In accordance with Article 7 of the Regulation signed on August 30, 2024, regarding the joint activities of the aforementioned Commissions, during the meeting, the Parties exchanged notifications regarding the completion of the necessary domestic procedures for the entry into force of the Regulation by their respective states.
Taking into account that Article 7 of the Regulation stipulates that its entry into force will be established on the day the last written notification regarding the completion of such procedures is received, the Parties emphasized that the Regulation will enter into force on November 1, 2024.
The Parties exchanged views on the sequence of the areas/sections of the border line for the implementation of delimitation work in the next phase.
The Parties discussed drafts of the relevant instructions regarding the procedures for carrying out the delimitation work.
The Parties agreed to determine the date and location of the next meeting in a working order.
Following the conclusion of the Commissions' meeting, Shahin Mustafayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, separately discussed issues related to transportation communications.
