PROTOCOL OF INTENTION ON COOPERATION SIGNED BETWEEN USAID AND AZERBAIJAN SOCIETY OF APPRAISERS
On 29 March, International Development Agency (USAID) and Azerbaijan Society of Appraisers (AAS) signed a protocol of intention on cooperation at the International Press Center. Speakers at the ceremony, Chairman of AAS Eldeniz Orujov and executive director Elchin Samadov, noted that the development of the housing market in Azerbaijan and beginning of property relations in the market necessitated the use of international standards in the assessment of property, educate the public about services in the field of real estate. They said a protocol on cooperation with USAID would be signed with this purpose. The document will provide the impetus for more successful steps in the formation and development of civilized market assets.
Chief Executive Director of the International Real Estate Fund (IREF) Norman Flynn talked on the relationship with the USAID functioning since 1992. He said the main purpose of the signed document was the formation of a democratic government in the real estate market, support in the field of scientific research and practical analysis based on international experience.
Deputy of Milli Mejlis Tahir Rzayev, founder and Honorary Chairman of AAs, member of Milli Mejlis Khangusein Kasimli, President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Alakbar Mammadov and others talked about the importance of signed document. They said Azerbaijan has created all the necessary conditions for free activities of non-governmental organizations, and stressed the importance of international experience in the real estate business. Norman Flynn and the President of GS Defense Orujev signed a protocol of intentions cooperation.
