Rais of Tatarstan pays tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs

Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, visited the Alley of Honors and Alley of Martyrs in Baku on Tuesday.
The Rais of Tatarstan first paid his respects and laid a wreath at the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of the modern independent Azerbaijani state.
He also placed flowers at the grave of the National Leader’s wife, the prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Rustam Minnikhanov then commemorated the Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity. He also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
He also enjoyed a panoramic view from the highest point of Baku and was informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs and the city’s redevelopment.
