SUMMER SESSION OF PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY OF OSCE TO TAKE PLACE NEXT MONTH IN BRUSSELS
In the session, also will be discussed the question connected to conflicts in the territories of OSCE member countries.
The agenda is possible also to include the question of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Some time back special representative of OSCE PA on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict Goran Lenmarker was in Azerbaijan. Some important meetings lead by G. Lenmarker within the visit, visiting of separate regions by him have once again shown, that the report prepared by him in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is about completion. From this point of view, we trust and we expect, that this time the Nagorno-Karabakh question will be included in the agenda of OSCE PA session, Ms. Aslanova emphasized.
R. Aslanova also has noted, that OSCE should tell the word in settlement of conflict. It is a question of prestige of the organization. When the Council of Europe and the European Parliament show activity in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, OSCE cannot be silent. And consequently, OSCE, for increase of its authority should be interested in settlement of this conflict, or recognize, that its opportunities as a structure have run low.
