THIRD FORUM OF YOUNG LEADERS FROM CIS AND BALTIC NATIONS HELD IN BAKU
The aim of the forum organized by the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Youth and Sport was to establish dialogue of young leaders from CIS and Baltic countries and provide a forum for discussing new approaches to the problems.
The forum gathered 54 delegates from CIS and Baltic nations excluding Armenia and Turkmenistan.
Opening the forum, assistant to the chief of the Presidential Administration Elnur Aslanov stressed the need for the dialogue of young people from post-soviet countries.
Minister of Sport and Youth Azad Rahimov said the fact that the event is held in Azerbaijan in the Year of Youth is very symbolic.
The discussions at the forum revolved around the following topics: “Post soviet area in conditions of new world rules: defining a strategy of the future”, “Cultural and information space of the CIS and Baltic nations: what does unite us?”, “Nationalism and xenophobia in the CIS and Baltic states: how to fight them?”.
