Emphasizing the role of parliaments in climate protection, the First Deputy Speaker described parliaments as an important institution for citizens to express their views.
"Here, at the first meeting held as part of the COP29, series of specific proposals were presented regarding the preparation of measures for confronting climate changes, as well as protecting watersheds. You know that our country, along with Azerbaijan, conducts research and measures on protecting the Caspian Sea pursuant to the instructions of the two countries’ Presidents. I am confident that today's meeting will enable us to prepare concrete measures for protecting the Caspian Sea," he added.
