UN Under-Secretary-General informed about initiatives on reintegration of Armenian residents living in Karabakh region

Baku, September 23, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths as part of the general debate of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on prospects for the development of the current cooperation agenda with the UN, including partnership issues in the fields of humanitarian assistance.
The sides also discussed Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani territories for almost 30 years, as well as continuous provocations of Armenia and its so-called regime in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
FM Bayramov described Armenia’s claims about “blockade" or "intense humanitarian crisis in the region" as groundless, adding that Armenia deliberately aims to create the so-called humanitarian crisis, which is actually a political manipulation.
