U.S. DID NOT ASK AZERBAIJAN TO ALLOW IT TO BASE AN ANTI-MISSILE RADAR SITE IN ITS TERRITORY, ELMAR MAMMADYAROV
Washington did not asked Baku to allow it to base an anti-missile radar site in Azerbaijan, visiting Washington Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said in an interview with a correspondent of the Information Telegraph Agency of Russia, ITAR-TASS.
The Minister said that under the Azerbaijani law, no foreign countries` objects or bases could be located in the country.
He said ``for example, a radar station which is used by Russia, is Azerbaijan`s property, and we are letting it to Russia, and all equipment there is the property of Azerbaijan``.
``So if someone wants to locate its radar site in our territory, it will also be Azerbaijan’s property``, Elmar Mammadyarov added.
