U.S. HAS NEVER ASKED AZERBAIJAN TO ALLOW IT TO BASE AN ANTI-MISSILE RADAR SITE IN ITS TERRITORY, ELMAR MAMMADYAROV
Washington has never asked Baku to allow it to base an anti-missile radar site in Azerbaijan, visiting Washington Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said in an interview with a correspondent of the Information Telegraph Agency of Russia, ITAR-TASS.
The Minister said that under the Azerbaijani law, no foreign countries’ objects or bases could be located in the country.
He said “for example, a radar station which is used by Russia, is Azerbaijan’s property, and we are letting it to Russia, and all equipment there is the property of Azerbaijan”.
“So if someone wants to locate its radar site in our territory, it will also be Azerbaijan’s property”, Elmar Mammadyarov added.
