Yermolai Solzhenitsyn: COP29 made Azerbaijan an attractive destination for investment and cooperation

“By hosting COP29, Azerbaijan achieved very positive outcomes,” said Yermolai Solzhenitsyn, a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, during a panel discussion titled “Azerbaijan: Emerging Gateway to Green Growth and Connectivity”, held as part of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) annual meeting.
Solzhenitsyn emphasized that COP29 not only advanced global climate dialogue but also significantly enhanced Azerbaijan’s international profile and its reputation as a regional hub for investment.
“This event gave people the opportunity to better understand the region and discover its appeal for both tourism and investment,” he concluded.
