2007 ENTRY EXAMS TO DIPLOMATIC SERVICE OVER
Entry examinations to the diplomatic service of the Azerbaijan Republic for 2007 have been completed.
25 young people who were selected out of 350 candidates will be on a 6 months probation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For this period, they will listen to lectures and attend seminars at the Diplomatic Academy on the English language, international relations and law, international economic relations, methods of holding diplomatic negotiations etc.
The training will be also delivered by foreign experts from the US Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, European College (Belgium), as well as from the training centers of the Turkish and Norwegian Foreign Ministries.
For this period, probationers will be working in the various departments of the Foreign Ministry to gain experience. Additionally, they will listen to lectures on the history and culture of Azerbaijan by renowned scholars of Azerbaijan and have meetings in the government agencies. Probationers are set to serve internship in the diplomatic missions of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Successful future diplomats were received by the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Academy.
