Baku, April 8, Tamilla Mammadova, AZERTAC
A new episode of the program "Azerbaijan and the World" has been released on the AZERTAC website. Host Tamilla Mammadova spoke with Georgian economist Vakhtang Charaya about the development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Noting that Baku and Tbilisi continue to closely cooperate in various fields, Charaya emphasized that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's recent visit to Georgia was an important signal of the further strengthening of regional economic integration and coordination in the South Caucasus.
The expert also noted that, given the changing geopolitical situation, the importance of regional transport and logistics projects is growing, particularly the Middle Corridor, which opens up additional opportunities for countries in the region and facilitates their expansion in international trade.
According to him, energy and the financial sector remain promising areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as the development of partnerships between companies, which will expand markets, attract investment, and enhance the resilience of the two countries' economies.
