Baku, November 4, AZERTAC
The Azerbaijan International Real Estate Exhibition (“AIREX 2026”) is being held in Baku for the first time.
Organized by PASHA Property Management, the First Azerbaijan International Real Estate Exhibition brings together 61 companies, including 47 local and 14 foreign companies.
Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture; Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Garabagh Revival Fund (GRF); and Tural Aliyev, Chief Executive Officer of PASHA Property Management, addressed the exhibition’s official opening ceremony.
“AIREX 2026” takes place in the year declared the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” in Azerbaijan. Against the backdrop of Baku’s future development and the reconstruction of cities and villages in Garabagh and East Zangazur, the exhibition serves as an important platform for presenting projects underway in Azerbaijan to local and international audiences. Azerbaijan’s urban planning experience and reconstruction efforts also feature prominently in the business program on the exhibition’s opening day.
The exhibition, which runs through November 6, features more than 60 local and international companies. It is expected to attract 20,000 visitors over three days. The event offers a wide range of opportunities for both first-time homebuyers and investors exploring new markets and opportunities for cooperation.
Notably, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva visited “AIREX 2026,” the First Azerbaijan International Real Estate Exhibition, at the Baku Expo Center on November 4.
The head of state, the First Lady, and their daughter toured various stands at the exhibition.
During their visit to the Garabagh Revival Fund’s stand, Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Fund’s Executive Board, explained that the Fund provides financial support for the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories, attracts investment, promotes public-private partnerships, and implements public awareness projects. The Fund’s participation in the exhibition aims to raise public awareness of its areas of activity and the large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts underway in the liberated territories, while promoting a culture of charitable giving.
The Chairman of the Executive Board also provided information about the innovative book project “Revival of Garabagh: The Story of Azerbaijan’s Renaissance.” Commissioned by the Fund, the book presents the realities of Garabagh and the restoration and reconstruction efforts carried out in the liberated territories under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Later, Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Garabagh Revival Fund, spoke at the panel discussion “Rebuilding and Reimagining: Azerbaijan’s Urban Vision,” held as part of “AIREX 2026,” the First Azerbaijan International Real Estate Exhibition. He stated that the restoration of Garabagh and Eastern Zangazur extends beyond rebuilding residential buildings and infrastructure. The main objective is to enable people to return to these territories to live and work permanently. In this regard, establishing sustainable settlement is one of the key challenges.
According to Rahman Hajiyev, real estate encompasses not only residential properties but also hotels, logistics and business centers, and other facilities that support job creation. Historic sites, monuments, and museums are important components of both real estate and historical memory.
Moderated by Ugur Cem Yigit, Partner at McKinsey & Company, the panel discussion featured Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Garabagh Revival Fund; Read Gasimov, Head of the Baku General Directorate for Architecture and Urban Planning under the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Marcelina Zielinska, Group Board Director at Chapman Taylor; and Drew Kent, Executive Director, Design at Modon Real Estate.
The Garabagh Revival Fund invites guests attending the exhibition on November 4–6, 2026, to visit its stand.
