8 REGIONAL SECURITY DIVISIONS TO BE ON GUARD OVER EXPORT PIPELINES

Eight regional security divisions have been reportedly set up to guard export pipelines Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Novorossiysk. The branches in Sumgait, Siyazan, Khachmaz will secure Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline while those in Sangachal, Ujar, Hajikabul, Shamkir, Agstafa - Baku-Supsa and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan. 180-km maritime stretch from the oil-producing platform to Sangachal terminal will be guarded by forces of the Ministry of Defense and Frontier Service.
