ANS GROUP OF COMPANIES STRONGLY CONDEMN BEATING OF JOURNALIST
The ANS Group of Companies considers this fact as a logic result accompanied by offences, threats and violence committed by the Musavat that is opposed against press representatives whose views does not coincide with their position.
We rate the fact of beating of Lider TV journalist who discharged his professional duty as a direct manifestation of immorality of those committed the crime. We are also concerned those opportunities of journalists’ free activity gained in the fight pursued by Azerbaijani journalism including “ANS” faced the threat of returning of totalitarianism.
Unfortunately, this time the threat is posed by the Musavat who call itself as a democratic party. This fact was not immediately criticized by the party’s leadership, which once more evidences of that event’s non-randomness.
At the end of this statement signed by President of ANS Group of Companies Vahid Mustafayev, he claims that if we do not condemn such attitude to journalists tomorrow each of us would be instead of Sahil Karimli.
